Still alive and kicking....

It's almost been a week since i've last blogged. My apologies. I'm starting to fall into a routine here. My work load is also increasing. Which means i need to focus myself and get to it. I sent out over 200 surveys via email at the beginning of the week. They are slowly coming back to me. Not fast enough. Yesterday I went to Nairobi for the day with Frances. That was a good day. I had not yet been to the heart of Nairobi. I've never felt so white in my life!
We took a matatu to Nairobi and then walked to where we needed to go. So different then downtown Edmonton or Vancouver for that matter. Frances was a great guide and explained a lot of things to me. We went to the headquaters for the Anglican Church of Kenya and was able to interview someone and then also to the head quaters for the Presbyterian Church of Kenya. It was nice to do something different! Although i feel that i have my work cut out for me. So i better get to work now! Just thought i'd update you guys.

I called Sarah when she was in the matutu on her way home. It sounds loud and bumpy.

"Still alive and kicking?????..." I was actually starting to wonder about you Sarah... I just about booked my ticket to Kenya. Anyways here is my guess of a Matutu...
a) a horse
b) a taxi
c) a zebra
d) a dune buggy
Love you kid we are praying for you
P.S. Mom googled it and there were lots of Mr. Matutus so her guess is now a man.

I think a matutu is a mature woman in a tutu.

Sarah,

I apologize for my lack of blogging-ness. I'm ALL about the commenting -really.
Sarah, I think God is really using you there. I can just hear the passion and presence in your voice as you write. I have been reading every word of your blog.
Thinking of you friend.

I hope you work everything out soon i am worried sometime but i know you will do fine!! as far a a matutu i would have to say.... an orchard truck (which is just and old car taken apart with a big wagon like bottem put on it and all the Jamacains sit on them. It isn't covered or anything and deffinatly no seat belts) on a rutted road
