About Me
- Name: Sarah
Welcome! This is a journal of my experiences as an intern in Limuru, Kenya. The internship is focused on environmental stewardship and governance. I will be partnering with the Care of Creation organization. (check out link) The work will involve following up on conferences hosted by the organization. At the last conference the 600+ participants made commitments to environmental action. My internship will focus on identifying and supporting these post-conference policies. It will include documenting the status of environmental initiatives among participants, following up specific initiatives and communicating this to a number of different stakeholders. This internship is made possible with the financial support of the Government of Canada provided through the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA).

nice pictures sarah. Hope all is well
Hey sarah, I have a friend here and we are talking about Kenya. We met a man from Kenya, Alfred, at a conference for missionaries. I guess he works for Mumias Sugar Company. He's a chaplain at Booker Academy. Have you heard of these places? You should go. He would welcome you if you did travel there.
Looks like you had an eventful weekend Sarah, good work! How was your thanksgiving, did you celebrate it? Lots of love,Pete
Nice pics Sarah...your Delta digging days are paying off!!!
Hey Nicole, I haven't heard of those places but i bet if i asked someone they may know. All Kenyans are so welcoming regardless if they know you or not. They open their doors without fear.
Also thanks for the wonderful comments by all! They make me smile!
sarah! nice work. it is SO green there. it looks like a dessert (desert??) here compared to that. looks like fun. what kind of trees were you planting?
Hi Sarah
I've been reading your blog and Bri's blog and enjoying them so very much. Your pictures of Kenya bring me right back there. Keep well. More later
Henry
Hi Sarah,
I have enjoyed reading your blog! What wonderful work you are doing. It's so great to see and hear you raise the kind of questions you do. Beat's the classroom lecture, doesn't it?
